We know headshot photos can be uncomfortable, but it’s SO important to have up-to-date images for yourself for so many reasons. That’s why we decided to offer these Boss Shot Mini Sessions. We do all the planning for you, you just need to show up with one outfit change and we’ll handle the rest! Here is a little sample of some of the images we’ve captured at our past sessions. Here at SUBSTANCE we’ve been shooting seasonal content libraries since we started as an added bonus for our Subscription Clients. We find that these seasonal galleries are great filler content for those days when you need a relevant background image for messaging on stories and other branding materials OR when you just don’t know what else to post. Since reels have been around we’re loving these images even more as they will keep you feed looking cohesive.

One of the best things about our Content Shoots are that they are super customizable based on what you need! For Curious Hair Boutique’s first content shoot we wanted to gather a variety of images that touch on their content pillars and give them a well rounded library to up their social media game. We did this shoot with Made by a Potato a while back, but it just makes us happy so we wanted to share some of the images we captured for them! Made by a Potato makes potato stamped greeting cards and each time they sell a card they buy a meal for a child in need through their partnership with Action Against Hunger. LOVE this mission and the good people behind this company!

It’s officially summer. It’s Friday. The kids are almost done school.

Sounds like we have a few good reasons to pour a delicious cocktail!

We’ve been following Bitters & Bread since they started up their Instagram a few months into the pandemic when we all needed a little creativity and, well… alcohol! They share delicious cocktail, bread and pizza recipes and provide some laughs along the way. Bri and Nic are the adorable couple behind Bitters and Bread and we were so pumped that they were up for this collaboration shoot!

Thanks to the pandemic, it had been a little while since we had done a Styled Shoot. So when Coco Bean approached us to shoot their adorable baby mats, we were all over it. Styled Shoots are great when you’re looking for large batch of images that all have the same “feel”. Great for websites or curated social media feeds. You provide the vision and we’ll arrange the location, models, wardrobe and props!

Not going to lie… we were pretty darn pumped when this little lady reached out for some Boss Shots. We have been following Katie from Brie + Banquet since she started and have always been in awe of her beautiful grazing platters. Katie has a great eye for food photography so didn’t have a need for a full content shoot, but she did need a handful of images of herself for when she gets featured in publications.

A lot of professional service companies shy away from getting photos because they don’t think their space/equipment is “photogenic” enough for photos. Well we have a couple things to say about that!
